A musical Saturday with Green Hills students

Once more a very special Saturday Program! On 23 March, students from the top band of Green Hills Academy visited Root Foundation and brought a whole lot of music with them. Our brass band surely gained some marvellous inspirations, listening to our guests’ performance of advanced pieces such film music from the “Pirates of the Caribbean”. Soon, they got the opportunity to proudly present what they had already learned, as well. Topped off with some songs in English by our singing group, not forgetting the awesome choreographies of our traditional dancing and drumming group, the entire program was dedicated to rhythms and melodies.

We would like to thank the music teachers and students from Green Hills Academy for making this mutual highlight possible! The highlight of this day, by the way, certainly was the moment when Mr Bower, the conductor of the guest band, passed his baton to Edison, one of Root Foundation’s children gifted in music, to let him take over the role of a conductor – and you could see, he managed well, indeed!
